Paperwork relating to majority of artists who have recorded for EMI, including general correspondence, press cuttings, recording sheets, contracts; files also on specific subjects such as development of television and recording, manufacture of gramophones, including service manuals. Reports, accounts and board minutes from 1898-1950s. Files on staff and countries in which EMI operates. Ledgers giving details of when recordings were made and where, 1899-1930s. Extensive card index of EMI recordings all microfilmed, 1900 up to c.1980s. Photographic material from c.1900 to date.
