EMI house journals from 1917 to date. Small library of biographies on EMI artists and on the history of the recording industry. Paperwork relating to majority of artists who have recorded for EMI, including general correspondence, press cuttings, recording sheets, contracts; files also on specific subjects such as development of television and recording, manufacture of gramophones, including service manuals. Reports, accounts and board minutes from 1898-1950s. Files on staff and countries in which EMI operates. Ledgers giving details of when recordings were made and where, 1899-1930s. Extensive card index of EMI recordings all microfilmed, 1900 up to c.1980s. Photographic material from c.1900 to date. Extensive collection of records issued by EMI all over the world, from 1898 to date (restricted access).
