|Collection name||Seaton Delaval Hall|
|Description||Despite containing a large collection of items, Seaton Delaval Hall has almost no items in its collection which relate to music. The exceptions lie in the paintings collection, which contains two portraits of family members with musical instruments: Sophia Anne Delaval (1755-1793) tuning a mandolin, and Elizabeth Delaval (1757-1785) playing a lyre. Both were painted by William Bell, in 1770 and 1774 respectively.
The artworks may be viewed on www.nationaltrustcollections.org.uk and www.artuk.org.
