This collection includes a range of encyclopaedias and bibliographies including information about musical periods and theory of music, instruments, composers and their works and musicians. It includes works on classical music, folk and world music, jazz and musical theatre. We have information on playwrights and their work, dance, film and television reference books. We also stock national and international performing arts directories and yearbooks. CD - ROM and online sources: We have a subscription to SearchRED and to the MPA catalogue.
The Performing Arts Library has a database of song titles included in collections of printed music held in the library and elsewhere in the county. There is a wide range of performing arts periodicals.
